New Years Resolution

No, I have not forgotten about this website. I feel a little guilty that Ive left it unattended so long but Ive come into some unfortunate circumstances with my laptop, lovingly nicknamed "Zombimac". Zombimac was a gift to me back in 2009. He came to me as a used 2007 macbook, which I needed for school at the time. Hes been quite a trooper, travelling via plane with me to 2 countries, surviving a full glass of water poured directly on him, trampled on by dogs, dropped hundreds of time. Hes still chugging along, more new parts than mac parts these days, but the operating system on this thing is horribly outdated and I cant for the life of me get that to update. He overheats on the regular and the screen shorts out whenever I restart him. This poor thing just doesnt have a lot of years left in it. Wix website editor is one among many many programs Zombimac cant handle anymore. The worst of which, for me anyway has been the lagging in photoshop.

In the meantime, since I couldnt work on my site or do any digital art Ive been working on a webcomic script and preparing for a con. By september of next year I plan to have a full artists alley booth at one of the smaller local cons here in North Carolina. (Im so blessed to have so many con opportunities here it would be a real shame not to take advantage) One of the products Im working on for that is homemade soaps! Which Im real excited about. Both because its a craft thats very different and very challenging compared to what I usually do and because Im excited to design my own packaging.

Its been a long year, adjusting to a new state, living on my own very far from my family, learning to balance my day job with my art, and building up some savings for the first time in my life and all that other adulty stuff thats no fun what so ever. I'll admit, I lost my way for a little bit. But Im getting the hang of it. And to bring in the new year Ive decided to get myself a brand new laptop. My first ever brand new one. A nice big one for arting. And with it, Im planning to give my entire website a makeover (I never was very thrilled about having my name as the name of my business. Its too long and difficult to remember) AND! opening a shop for those soaps AND! opening up a seperate website just for my webcomic. So stay tuned! There are going to be some big changes here in the next few months. And if you happen to find yourself at the Libraricon in Fayetteville, NC next September Come say hello!
